Hair Architect Academy & Natural Hair Studio is an exclusively natural hair studio that focuses solely on no-heat styles. We specialize in locs, braids, and twists; with the intention of fostering your natural hair and nurturing your crown.
The environment is relaxed and comfortable. Clients are received predominantly by appointment only with room for walk-ins for quick services. There is no excessive appointment stacking. We focus on the client in the chair to ensure top-tier service and respect for the client's time.
Braid Apprentice Program
The Braid Apprentice Program is a two-year program that allows an individual to harness their braiding and loc'ing technique, as well as build a steady clientele under the guidance of the master loctician/braider. There is one year of full guidance where you will learn an array of business acumen, such as scheduling, marketing, structure, self-discipline. In this first year, the apprentice will be able to take walk-ins and assist the master/braider loctician. The second year will entail full-independence in scheduling appointments. At the completion of two years the apprentice will then graduate and be released to work independently in their own suite, shop, or wherever they so choose.
This program starts out as a part-time position of 20 hours per week and will develop into a full-time career.
In order to qualify for this program, you must adhere to the following:

Must be able to braid with hair added

Must be personable and professional

Can be the age of at least 16 years old

Must have reliable transportation

Must be punctual

Must be flexible as clients tend to cancel or reschedule their appointments

Must be prepared to move into your own space when the times comes to graduate from the program

Braid Assistant
As a Braid Assistant, your focus is to assist the master braider/loctician in prepping hair for clients, assisting in retwisting locs, finishing off braids. Roles will also include independent tasks of shampooing and conditioning clients' hair, blow drying, and pre-parting hair.
Applicant must know how to braid hair with and without hair added. Applicant must also have a basic knowledge of retwisting locs. This is a part-time position.

Event Staff Associate
Do you enjoy mixing and mingling? Do you like to get paid to go to events and promote products? Then this position is for you. Natural Essence Haircare is in need of Event Staff Associates to assist our Herbalist Jasmyne with products sales, set up and break down, and event marketing on day of events. Natural Essence will increase its presence at major conventions and festivals and needs all hands on deck.

Receptionist
As a receptionist, you will work in-shop and assist with walk-in clients in answering scheduling and product questions. You will have the express responsibility in cashing out clients after their services. The receptionist is the integral part to the flow of the shop. Sister Loctician
