Appointments & Booking
Do you accept walk-ins?
No. All appointments must be booked in advance as our stylists are not available for walk-in services.

I don't see availability on the calendar. Can I be squeezed in?
If a stylist's calendar is unavailable or greyed out, they are fully booked or unavailable. Please use the waitlist feature for your desired date/style. If an opening becomes available, you will be notified.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit is required unless you are booking a loc extension service. A card must be on file when booking, and payment is collected after the service. We accept cards, tap pay, and cash (tips encouraged in cash).

Can I bring someone with me?
Please limit guests to 1 person. Our shop has limited seating, and we aim to maintain a peaceful, uncrowded environment.

Can I book an appointment and decide the style later?
We ask that you book knowing exactly what style you want. If you are unsure, please book a consultation first. You may also add Style Insurance to your appointment as a safety net.

What is Style Insurance?
Style Insurance offers partial coverage in case your style malfunctions or you experience dissatisfaction within 24-48 hours. It allows a redo at 50% of the new style cost (within 7 days). Visit our Style Insurance section for full details.

Do you shampoo hair before braiding?
Yes, for an added fee. If you want us to shampoo your hair, you must book the shampoo add-on with your style. If added the day of, it will be $45 instead of the standard $35.
Hair Services
Do you do Sisterlocks®?
No. We are not Sisterlock certified. We offer microlocs, which are the smallest loc option we provide.

Do you color hair?
We color locs only. Grey coverage for loose natural hair is available on a case-by-case basis.

Do you offer loc repair?
Yes.
​
Do you combine locs?
Yes. A consultation is required, and pricing starts at $275.
​
Do you offer crochet styles?
Yes, but you must bring your own hair for crochet services.

How much hair should I bring for crochet styles?

Braids/locs/twists: 6-8 bundles

Synthetic curly hair: 6-7 bundles

Human afro-kinky hair: 120g-180g (2-3 bundles)

Braid & Loc Classes
Do you offer braid classes?
Yes. Group braid classes are offered throughout the year. Visit www.aarimichole.com/braid-classes to register.
Free tutorials are available on YouTube @aarimichole. You may also book 1-on-1 sessions for personalized learning.

Do you offer loc classes?
Group loc classes are no longer offered. However, you can book a 1-on-1 session to learn any technique. Florida does not require a license or certificate to braid or maintain locs.
