For over 20 years, I’ve served as a Master Braider and Loctician, helping women and men embrace and celebrate their natural hair textures. But over time, I began to feel a shift. My passion for creating styles began to evolve into something deeper—a calling to teach, develop products, and build something greater than what happens in the chair.

Stepping away from daily appointments isn’t easy. But I know that in order to serve my community on a larger scale, I have to begin transitioning from behind the chair to becoming a full-time educator, mentor, and CEO of Natural Essence Haircare.
This journey is about growth, legacy, and sustainability—not just for myself, but for the clients and stylists who walk through my doors. I’m creating space for more stylists to shine, more education to be shared, and more natural hair to be loved, nourished, and protected.
If you’ve ever wondered how to evolve in your career without losing the core of what you love, stay tuned. I’ll be sharing the real, raw, and rewarding steps of this transition in future posts.
